Effective August 1st,
2008 the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad will change its method of assessing
fuel surcharges, eliminating the fuel surcharge application from IHB Tariffs
IHB 8000 covering the Chicago Switch District and IHB 3001 covering general
commodities to and from the IHB stations of Portage and Burns Harbor, IN.
Tariff IHB 8325 series
which publishes rates and charges on various commodities moving in local
service on the IHB is still subject to fuel surcharge tariff IHB 6011.
The current IHB fuel
surcharge tariff IHB 6010 applies only on private tariffs, regulated and
deregulated contracts, and IHB exempt quotes.
