Dear Valued Shippers:
The IHB began phasing out the application of fuel
surcharges on IHB published terminal and local tariff rates in August 2008.
Since then as rates came up for renewal, the IHB removed the fuel surcharge
application from all rate agreements.
Currently the only fuel surcharge programs the IHB
participates in are those agreements published by Connecting Lines, and only
at IHB line haul stations Portage and Burns Harbor, IN.
The IHB will cancel Fuel Surcharge Tariffs IHB 6010 and
IHB 6011, and will discontinue updates as to our fuel surcharge levels as of
January 1st, 2010.
